Surname from a Ji-Surname State

The Jin surname mainly traces its founding ancestor to Tang Shuyu. Shuyu was enfeoffed in Tang, and after his son Xiefu succeeded him, the state was renamed Jin. After Jin was destroyed by the three ministers of Wei, Han, and Zhao, its people adopted the state name as their surname.
