Research Notes

Unresolved Lineages

The tradition that the third of three Zhao brothers in Duozhuang, Fan County, Henan, adopted the surname Duo can no longer be substantiated. It also remains uncertain which of the two men named Duosima was the ancestor of the Qing diviner Duo Shilin.
