Proposed Jiang Lineage Origin

One interpretation identifies 樝 as a settlement of Qi in the Spring and Autumn period, granted to a son of Duke Qing of Qi, whose descendants adopted the place-name as their surname; the 楂 and 查 surnames arose through lineage branching and were both derived from the Jiang clan.
